Trail Clearing and Blazing – Westwoods at Dunk Rock Road

Any clearing work we didn’t complete on the 30th will be completed first, then we’ll go through and install the Red Rectangle blazes. Paul will have a chainsaw if it’s needed, but hand tools such as loppers of a hand saw will be useful, as will a small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes. Dress for the conditions, whatever they may be. Plan to meet at the Dunk Rock Road entrance, parking in the lot near the Bishop’s raspberry field @ 10AM. [est 1-1/2 – 2 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact Rob Valley stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
