Installing Plastic Cross-Trail Blazes – Westwoods Sam Hill Road

Our assembly line crew fabricated all the WW cross-trail blazes at last weekend’s work party, and today we’ll be installing them on their trails. We’ll be starting on the southern end of the trails and working north. Paul has all the plastic blazes and aluminum nails. If you’d like to be part of this event bring along your favorite hammer, and a set of warm gloves. Meet at 10AM at the intersection of Sam Hill and Leete’s Island Roads. If the parking area is full, you can park all along Sam Hill Road. [est 2 to 3 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact Rob Valley stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
