Installing Plastic Blazes and Trail Relocation at Dunk Rock Road

We’ll complete the Green Square trail today and with any extra time we have we’ll relocate a few sections of trails in this area from wet paths to higher ground. See the 2nd of March for details of what you should bring for blazing. For relocation, garden clippers, a set of loppers and a hand saw will be needed. Paul will have one set of this equipment, but please bring along tools you can use yourself.. Plan to meet at the Dunk Rock Road entrance, parking in the lot near the Bishop’s raspberry field. [est 1-1/2 – 2 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
