Trail Clearing at Kampmeyer – Laurel Hollow Road

We’ve received a report of a large tree down over a section trail about as distant from our trail head as possible. So we’ll be hiking in to clear this tree, and intend on using this opportunity to check out as many trails as we can in the process. A backup saw would be welcomed, and extra hands to share the carrying are valuable too. As always, there will be some cleanup work, so if you’r not a sawyer, bring along your loppers or tools you’re comfortable using. Dress warmly, with gloves and comfortable shoes. Please meet us at the Laural Hollow cul-de-sac entrance @ 10AM, just off West Lake Avenue. [est 2 – 2 -1/2 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
