Walk n Work Hike – Lower Moose Hill Rd

Our second ‘walk ’n work party’ of the year, open to all interested in helping but not so interested in the noise and equipment used on many of our work parties. Like all our W n’W outings this trail season, we’ll be posting our new plastic blazes, now continuing on Yellow (Circle and Square) trails. A group of Pack 475 Cubscouts joined us last month, and we’re looking forward to them continuing their support at this and future Walk n’Work events. As with all our walk’n work parties, this will all be work with hand tools … no chainsaws or heavy equipment are allowed. You’re welcome to join us for just the walking, but if blazing is your thing, a small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes is recommended. Please meet us at the lower Moose Hill Road entrance to Westwoods, just across from Landon’s Way. [est 1-1/2 – 2 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
