Tree Work and Graffiti Removal at Lost Lake

Reports of fallen trees and new graffiti inspired this first work party of the 2022-3 trail year. This will be a mix of chainsaw work and the artful application of camouflage paint to painted rocks, so extra help and advice is very welcomed. For our sawyers, heavy gloves and a set of loppers will come in handy for those without saws, but if you have a saw, please bring it along. But if you’d rather paint, all you need is artistic license. As always, if you need protective gear, we have it, but please notify Paul ahead of time to be sure it is in his car. Please meet us at the Three Corners Road Entrance to Westwoods … when you park be careful not to obstruct any of the driveways. [est 2 to 3 hours]

Heavy rain will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
