Tree Work at Cindy Lane

Nut Plains property steward Doug Clark has reported three trees that need to be removed from the trails. One is reported to be a beech, so we’re curious if this is the beginning of a huge collection of this tree species succumbing to Beech Leaf disease. Please join us if you have the afternoon free. We’ll have a saw and protective gear, but bring along a pair of heavy gloves and any hand tools you feel comfortable using. Please meet us at the Cindy Lane entrance to Nut Plains Preserve, just across from the pond. [est 2 hours]

We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
