Trail Flagging – Westwoods at Dunk Rock Road

This work party is delayed until the afternoon so people can first attend the Forest Ecology Tour, which starts at 9AM (See below). But once done, we’ll be heading over to the Red Rectangle Trail just south of the Eversource right-of-way to explore alternative routes to the extremely steep section of trail just after the wetland crossing. We plan to bushwhack north and south of the current trail location in the expectation of identifying a more gradual route for this challenging trail. Good footwear and a decent sense of direction is all you need to bring. We’ll bring the survey tape. If you’d like to explore with us, plan to meet at the Dunk Rock Road entrance, parking in the lot near the Bishop’s raspberry field. [est 2 – 2-1/2 hours]

We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house.
