Loop 1 Trail Clearing Work – 3 Corners Road

Our inspection of Trail Loop 1 on the 14th resulted in a nice list of projects which will make the trail more pleasant to use, and help with our long term maintenance. This includes rerouting some sections of the trail, moving some obstacles, and posting signs to close off some areas. We’ll be beginning this work today, and since the bigger slice of chainsaw work is just south of the Lost Lake overlook, we’re using the TCR entrance for access. If you’ll be on the chainsaw crew, see the 21st for what to bring. If you’d like to help with the trail clearing and closures, bring work gloves and a small tool belt with places for nails and a hammer. Loppers or a small hand saw could also be helpful. Meet us at the Three Corners Road Entrance to Westwoods. [est 2 – 3 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house.
