Trail Blazing at Spencers Creek

A new cross trail and re-routing of two sections of the Red Rectangle Trail are on the work list today. Our property steward Gina Keifer will have flagged the new locations in advance, so all we’ll need to do is post blazing and trim a few branches, as necessary. If time and energy permit, we may remove the decaying bench in preparation for a stone replacement. If you’d like to help blaze, a small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes is recommended. Please meet at property on Three Mile Course, just slightly south of the Medad Stone tavern. If there’s not enough room to pull off the road, you can park up the road at the Cox School. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house.
