Loop 3 Trail Work at Westwoods 3 Corners Road

The second of Loop 3 work parties. Today we plan to pull two 12 ft bridges out of the dirt and mud they’re sunk into, and place them on cedar or locust sleepers. We also plan to haul in a third 12ft bridge, which will span another wet area that’s formed immediately to the south. We’ll have ironed out the details of this work at the work party on the 1st, and arranged to have the third bridge delivered to the trailhead. But we’ll need many hands to haul it about 1/8 of a mile to the site, along with the sleeper materials. Like last week, it’s a lot of work we’re expecting to accomplish. Bring any heavy tools you think would be useful and (again) meet at the Three Corners Road Entrance to Westwoods. If there isn’t room at the cul-de-sac, please park down the road. [est 2 – 3 hours]

We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house.
