Invasive Plant Removal – Westwoods at Upper Moose Hill Road Entrance

This will be our first organized invasives work party of the summer and we plan to cut and treat invasive barberry and rose along the violet trail. GLCT director Jim Ballentine and Westwoods Property Steward Nicolette Lee (and her family) plan to lead the work. If you’d like to help, bring thick gloves (leather is best for the thorns) and clippers and loppers if you have them. And bug spray of course. We will provide and oversee the application of herbicide. We’ll meet at the Upper Moose Hill entrance to Westwoods at 9AM. Parking is limited, so if you can’t find parking at the trailhead, head down on Lower Road and walk up the road or through the connecting trail. [est 2 to 3 hours]
