Installing Plastic Cross-Trail Blazes at Lower Moose Hill Road
We’re getting down to the end and today we expect to finish up the cross trails, completing the Green/Yellow. If you’d like to help blaze, you should bring along a small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes … we’ll have both the cut blaze materials as well as nails. Please dress for spring conditions and meet us at the lower Moose Hill Road entrance to Westwoods, just across from Landon’s Way. The lot can get filled on Saturday mornings, so please use street parking on Landon’s Way if it’s too crowded. [est 2 – 2-1/2 hours]
Note: Cub Scout Troop 475 plans to be removing foreign invasive plants from the trailhead this morning. If additional help is needed, we expect to provide assistance. Come with a set of garden clippers or loppers to help with this work.
Heavy rain will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
