Welcome, Old and New Friends

The GLCT is pleased that so many friends and first-time visitors have recently taken the opportunity to use our properties for respite, relief, and recreation during this uncertain time.  Please continue to practice safe, social distancing at all times, as advised by the Governor and public health officials.  GLCT owned lands are open to the public for passive recreation during daylight hours.  Please note that dogs must be leashed at all times when on GLCT properties; we ask that you be sure to clean up after your dogs, and pack out any materials you packed in.  Learn more about GLCT Land Use Policies here.

The GLCT is an all-volunteer organization, protecting over 3,000 acres of open spaces in Guilford since 1965.  GLCT owns myriad properties in Guilford beyond just Westwoods, and you can learn about the many, lesser known, and less used, properties at our website, www.guilfordlandtrust.org.  We invite you, in particular, to explore the Bluff Head area where we recently announced a 120-acre acquisition opportunity and related fundraising campaign.  Funds for acquisitions come primarily from individual donations from our members and supporters in community.  To complete this acquisition, we hope to raise $425,000.00.  If you would like to learn more and help, please click here.

We hope you and your families remain healthy and safe as you enjoy our many miles of trails in Guilford.
