Trail Blazing at Lower Moose Hill Road

Members of Cub Scout Pack 475 (and their parents) will be joining us to continue the installation of our new plastic blazes in the Westwoods Trails network. And while the actual trail we plan to blaze is dependent on progress earlier in the month, we guess we’ll be concentrating on the Blue Rectangle, the primary East/West trail which connects with Dunk Rock Road. All are welcome to participate in this work party … you don’t need to be a Scout. We recommend equipping yourself with a small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes, but a small backpack works okay too. Dress warmly, wear comfortable shoes, and bring along some water and a snack if you don’t think you can hold out until lunchtime. Please meet us at the lower Moose Hill Road entrance to Westwoods, just across from Landon’s Way. The lot can get filled on Saturday mornings, so please use street parking on Landon’s Way if it’s too crowded. [est 1-1/2 – 2 hours]

We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
