Trail Blazing in Nut Plains Woods – Cindy Lane

Nut Plains property steward Doug Clark recently walked the white, blue, green, and red trails in Nut Plains Woods and reported a number of blazing problems throughout the trail network. We hope to correct these problems on this work party, especially those found on the Green Trail. Paul will have the blazing materials and nails. You can bring a good hammer and a set of (warm) work gloves. A small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes is also recommended. Please join us at the Cindy Lane entrance to Nut Plains, parking just north of the pond. [est 2 to 3 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
