Plant Identification And Habitat Review – Westwoods Dunk Rock Road Entrance
May 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Following up with work done several years ago, WWTC member Ellsworth Matthias and local botanist Lauren Brown will be identifying and compiling a list of existing species in a select area of the former power line clearing. This is a prelude to removing all plants that are invasive or indicators of future forest growth, and leaving species that are open, sun-loving plants to preserve these unique Westwoods habitats. If you’d like to join our field investigation, meet us at the Lower Dunk Rock Road entrance at 10AM, just across from the Bishop’s Raspberry field parking lot. [est 1-1/2 – 2 hours]
