CANCELED – Loop 9 Trail Work – Westwoods at Dunk Rock Road

Back a month ago, we got most of the ‘Loop 9’ trail work completed. But we ran out of time and missed the Green Rectangle blazing work and ‘trail enhancements’ that’s needed where the trail follows the southern edge of the Great Marsh. Paul will bring the blaze materials and nails. As we’ll probably want to cut small logs to ‘outline’ sections of the trail that are difficult to follow, a chainsaw or good handsaw will be useful. Dress for winter conditions, and meet us at the Lower Dunk Rock Road entrance at 10AM, just across from the Raspberry field parking lot. [est 2 – 3 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
