Loop 8 Trail Work at Westwoods Dunk Rock Road Entrance

We expect our inspection of Loop 8 on the 1st will turn up a laundry list of trail issues, such as raising bridges or re-routing sections of trail. So we’ve set this day aside for beginning that work, and ask you to contact Paul if you’d like to hear what really needs doing. Alternatively, you could just show up with your favorite loppers, maddock or pry-bars and be surprised. Paul will have one chainsaw, and arrange for some heavier tools to be available. He’ll also bring the blaze materials and nails. Dress for late autumn conditions, and meet us at the Lower Dunk Rock Road entrance at 10AM, just across from the Raspberry field parking lot. [est 2 – 3 hours]

Heavy rain will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
