Invasive Plant Removal at Westwoods Dunk Rock Road

This will be our first organized invasives work party of the year and we will be learning from it as we go, but it would great to have WWTC volunteers to help in this effort. GLCT director Jim Ballentine and Westwoods Property Steward Karen Klugman plan to cut, treat with herbicide and pull (primarily) Multiflora Rose seedlings along the blue circle trail near where it crosses the red rectangle trail. If you’d like to help, please bring heavy thorn-proof gloves, waterproof wading boots and clippers or loppers. We will provide and oversee the application of herbicide. Meet at the Lower Dunk Rock Road entrance at 10AM, just across from the Raspberry field parking lot. [est 2 to 2-1/2 hours]

We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house.
