Installing Plastic Cross Trail Blazes at Westwoods Upper Moose Hill Road

We’re (really) getting down to the end and today we expect to finish up the cross trails, completing the Green/Yellow and White/Yellow. If you’d like to help blaze, you should bring along a small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes. We’ll have both the cut blaze materials as well as nails. Please dress for spring conditions and meet us at the upper Moose Hill Road entrance to Westwoods, Parking is limited at the trail head on Moose Hill Road, so if you can’t find parking there, you can park on Lower Road and walk up the road or through the connecting trail. Heavy rain will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
