Installing Steeping Stones at Westwoods Three Corners Road

Our very wet spring is making many of our water crossings difficult and on this workparty we plan to place several new stepping stones on the White Circle stream crossing, just south of the Lost Lake Overlook. We’ll be moving moderately sized rocks by hand and will have a small collection of pry-bars and levers with us, but please bring any tool you have which could be helpful. Of course, good work gloves and strong boots are a must. If you’d like to join our trail crew, please meet us at the Three Corners Road Entrance to Westwoods … when you park be careful not to obstruct any of the driveways.. [est 2-1/2 – 3 hours]

Heavy rain will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
