Trail Flagging – Westwoods at Dunk Rock Road

The Red Rectangle Trail just south of the Eversource right-of-way has an extremely steep section of trail just after the wetland crossing, which we’d like to improve, and plan to bushwhack north and south of the current trail location in the expectation of identifying a more gradual route for this challenging trail. Given we find a good alternate path, we plan to flag it completely, and possibly begin the process of re-routing the trail. Good footwear and a decent sense of direction is all you need to bring. We’ll bring the survey tape. If you’d like to explore with us, plan to meet at the Dunk Rock Road entrance, parking in the lot near the Bishop’s raspberry field. [est 2 – 2-1/2 hours]
