Trail Blazing – Westwoods at Greenwood Lane

The new blaze materials have arrived, and on the ‘eve of Christmas eve’ work party we expect to change over this cross trail to the new White Rectangle designation, and post ‘Trail Closed, signs on the section of cross trail we’re now abandoning. If time and interest permit, we’ll get a jump on next weekend’s work party exploring the re-routing of the Red Rectangle Trail. If you’d like to help, a small tool belt with places for nails, a hammer and a stockpile of blazes is recommended. Plan to meet at the Greenwood Lane cul-de-sac at 10AM. [est 1-1/2 – 2 hours]

Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact Rob Valley stewardship@guilfordlandtrust.org or Paul Proulx pauljproulx@comcast.net on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
