Dunk Rock Rd
Guilford, CT 06437
This is the final section of the Red Rectangle trail that needs the plastic blazes, a section that wanders by the remains of an old boy scout camp and then out by a little used trailhead to Three Mile Course and the Spencer’s Creek property. Help is always appreciated, and it’s a good excuse to see the site of the old log cabin (only the chimney remains) and the old wire bridge that crosses a small ravine. As on the 6th, Paul will bring the blazing and nails. Bring a hammer and a set of warm work gloves. As mentioned above, tool belt for nails, a hammer and blazes is also quite useful. Please meet us at the lower Dunk Rock Road entrance to Westwoods. [est 2 to 3 hours]
Rain or significant snow will usually cancel any of these work parties, so if you have questions about the schedule, please feel free to contact me firstname.lastname@example.org or Paul Proulx email@example.com on the morning of each event. We’ll also announce cancellations or schedule changes by email, so it’s a good idea to check your mail before you leave the house. Paul also carries his cell phone (203-687-7756) on these events, so if you’re late and want people to wait, give him a call.
