The Guilford Land Conservation Trust (GLCT) has received a $100,000 bequest from the estate of Margaret Brady. Margaret and her husband Bob have been long-time supporters of conservation along Connecticut’s shoreline and long-time members and supporters of GLCT. For Margaret, who worked as a land use attorney and a city planner, her interest in land use and conservation informed both her career and her volunteer efforts. Margaret served on the Madison Zoning Commission and worked with the Garden Club of Madison. She was also involved in the effort to protect the Griswold Airport property in Madison. Margaret followed the work of GLCT and appreciated the organization’s effort to protect conservation land in Guilford in a strategic way that prioritizes natural resources. Margaret’s legacy is to make more of this important work possible.
