Today\, we’ll be addressing problems on the northern end of this loop (north of the Blue Rectangle Trail): (1) relocating two wet sections of trail to dryer ground nearby\, (2) raising two bridges onto sleepers to remove soil contact\, (3) clean the Memorial stone honoring Bernard Kane (installed 38 years ago)\, (4) Close the northern end of the Green Circle trail and switch/blaze an unmarked cross trail to substitute\, (5) close a short by-pass trail on the Blue Circle trail\, just north of the Laurel Forest. There’s much to do and we ask you come prepared with the tools of your particular trade. For the trail relocation (which is most of the work)\, we’ll need a couple of chainsaws\, and a lopper or two. Bridge lifting requires a maddock\, pry-bars and sleeper materials. Paul will have one saw\, and arrange for some of the heavier tools to be available. He’ll also bring the blaze materials and nails.
