And we need to deconstruct a camp and tree fort that’s been built on the top of the ridge on the Red Circle Trail. Paul will have the weed-wacker with the ninja blade attachment and we’ll need people with hand clippers to trim back branches too high for the machine. And we’ll need at least one chain saw to deal with small trees and branches that will need to be removed. For the camp\, it’s been reported that the campfire ring has already been removed. But taking down the fort will likely require a crew of at least four people. The skids are lashed with twine about ten feet up\, hanging out over a steep slope – it will be tricky work. A pole saw or pole pruner could reach the lashings\, and chain saw to cut large limbs that were installed and used to climb the tree. The Parade starts at the southwest corner of the green at 10\, so just stroll down Whitfield Street and look for the big banner. Traditionally\, the Land Trust is placed in the middle\, and sometimes staged down a side street. Wear your GLCT or WWTC tee shirt and/or cap\, if you have one and it’s not too disreputable.
