SUMMARY:Loop 9 Evaluation at Peddlers Road
DESCRIPTION:Part of a survey walk planned to critically review all aspects of trail condition and location throughout Westwoods\, to capture other property information (like invasive plant sitings\, graffiti\, etc.) and unauthorized use of the property. To record this information in the field\, we plan to use the Avenza Map app\, which is available on both the Apple and Android handhelds or tablets paired with Loop 9 trail map.  For the next two months\, this map is available as a free download from the Avenza Store … just search on ‘Westwoods Loop 9’ and you should find it.   If you’d like to add your expertise to our land review\, download the free version of the Avenza app from the Apple or Android store\, load the map\, put on some nice comfortable walking shoes and a warm jacket\, and join our walk in the woods.  Plan to meet us at the Peddler’s Road entrance at 10AM. SUMMARY:Loop 8 Trail Work at Peddlers Road
DESCRIPTION:We expect our inspection of Loop 9 on the 22nd will turn up a laundry list of trail issues\, such as raising bridges or re-routing sections of trail.  So we’ve set this day aside for beginning that work\, and ask you to contact Paul if you’d like to hear what really needs doing.  Alternatively\, you could just show up with your favorite loppers\, maddock or pry-bars and be surprised.   Paul will have one chainsaw\, and arrange for some heavier tools to be available.  He’ll also bring the blaze materials and nails.  Dress for late autumn conditions\, and meet us at the Peddler’s Road entrance at 10AM.
