Munger Brook

When Taylor Lane was created in 1999, GLCT accepted 21 acres of open space. In 2002, when nearby Indian Meadows Road was built, GLCT accepted a contiguous 11 acres. The combined property includes the headwaters of Munger Brook, which passes along West Street, through adjacent conservation land of the Town of Guilford, meanders into North Branford, and then enters the Branford River flowing into the Long Island Sound.

In addition to stream beds, and fascinating geological features, an old logging road allows for exploration of the top of a steep ridge running north/south on the property. There is currently a short, yellow-blazed loop trail that begins on Indian Meadows Road on the north side of the cul de sac and returns back to the same road, slightly to the west of the entrance point.
