Nestled between Dudley Farm and Hoop Pole Road just north of Route 80, Dudley Barrows Woods is a beautiful oasis of tranquility that is well worth exploring.
This 120 acre GLCT property is comprised of land purchased by GLCT and land received as part of the subdivision process. GLCT first began acquiring land in this area in 1986.
There are two trail access points. One is situated at the Dudley Farm, behind the main house and just beyond the livestock area at the edge of the woods. The second entrance is off of Hoop Pole Road. These entrances lead to a red blazed trail which climbs up onto a ridge offering views to the north towards Bluff Head. A white marked loop path meanders below the ridge on its south side.
Approximately two thirds of the way down from Hoop Pole Road, the trail crosses Renee’s Way. On exiting the trail bear left and look for an opening a few yards down on the right. Signs are provided to guide you.
